The Chrysler Voyager is becoming a more common site on Britain's roads these days, though the used market is not exactly overflowing with this American alternative to the norm. The Voyager is essentially America's Espace, though it has only been on sale over here since 1997.

If you fancy one, we recommend you opt for the 2.5-litre turbodiesel option. Ten grand will net you a late 2001 model with an average of 40,000 miles. It is worth noting that the Chrysler is a particularly durable vehicle, built for many years of long service in the States. There are some downsides to be aware of though, including a very poor showing in the benchmark Euro NCAP tests. The Voyager could never be described as enjoyable to drive either. It is quite spacious though, and generously equipped for the price. In our minds, this American is an acquired taste.
