The Ford Mondeo clocks up more miles per year than any other second-hand car.
A study by Warranty Direct shows that the Mondeo covers 15,483 miles per year on average.
This is 700 miles more than the next furthest travelling car, the Saab 9-5.
The Mondeo claimed top spot despite being only the seventh best selling used car.
It claimed top mileage spot as the Ford is bought by more business drivers than any other car, beating the Renault Laguna and Volkswagen Passat.
At the other end of the mileage scale, the BMW Z3 covers the least number of miles per year, with an average of just 7,518 miles.
