Missing the previous generation Audi A4? Then get yourself down to your local SEAT dealer and ask for the Exeo. The Spanish firm's new medium segment contender arrives in UK showrooms in April with prices starting at £17,740.
Why the mention of Audi though? Simply because the new Exeo is a light re-hash of the old Audi A4 saloon wearing new front and rear lights. So it might be wearing a SEAT badge on the grille but behind it lies some German premium quality engineering.
The range is limited in the UK to a choice of just two engines. The majority of the Exeo line-up is offered in 2.0-litre TDI guise with outputs of 141bhp and 168bhp, a solitary 2.0-litre TSI Sport model with 197bhp being the only petrol choice. Four trim levels will be available in the model line-up with prices ranging from £17,740 to £21,340.
Equipment levels will be generous with each Exeo coming as standard with a six-speed manual transmission, USB connectivity, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, dual-zone climate control and front fog lamps. SEAT isn't saying anything about the availability of an estate version, but given the success of the Audi A4's estate model it's likely a load-lugging Exeo will follow the saloon models into showrooms later in the year.
