Citroen reckon that the C15 Champ is the van for the job. In recent times, the range has gone all-diesel, with the French concerns popular DW8 1868cc 60bhp powerplant under the bonnet of all Champ van and chassis cab models.
Easy access to the Champ vans 2.66cu.m (94cuft) load compartment is provided by two large rear doors which open to 180 degrees. This should enable easy pallet loading.

Load compartment equipment includes a full width steel bulkhead, heavy-duty floor-mounted cargo tie-down eyes and a load compartment light. The Champ is offered with a choice of payload capacities. The 600D model can carry 600kg while the 765D manages 765kg.

Whichever model you select, standard equipment includes cloth-faced seats (or vinyl if you prefer), an analogue clock, a cigar lighter, three interior lights, a stereo radio cassette player and internal headlamp adjustment. On the road, the Champ has a comfortable ride, at the expense of a tendency to body-roll if pushed through corners. The steering can feel over-weighted and the interior is now showing its age a little. Having said that, the C15 Champ is the lowest priced diesel high-cube on the market and does have the potential for high mileages so if you are looking for a vehicle where ability matters more than prestige swage lines, the C15 could be right up your street.
Importantly, all C15 Champs are supplied with Citroens innovative warranty package where buyers can select either 2 years of unlimited mileage cover or a 3-year/100,000-mile deal.
