The trip, which includes the world-renowned Garden Route, takes in some of South Africa's most beautiful scenery, from beaches and seascapes to lush forests.
We asked Mark to check out - and photograph - the most interesting attractions along the route, including Table Mountain, Cape Town's forthcoming World Cup stadium, elephant and monkey sanctuaries and an oyster farm.
Mark also tries one of the world's highest commercial bungee jumps (216m!), goes diving with crocodiles, takes surfing lessons and plays at the award-winning Best Golf Resort in Africa. Yeah, it's a tough job, but someone had to do it...
Watch all five legs of the journey in the video below, or click here to see details of the route and recommended stop-offs. Oh, and you can see photographs of Mark's trip on Flickr.

I have been to all the places on the road trip video and I would recommend it to everyone. The video does not compare to the actual beauty of it all. There are lots of really great places in the area that was not on the video. This made me want to go back there.

What a dumbed down piece of @#$%! Good idea with potential but ruined by the presenter who seems to think it should be about him, not SA. Two out of ten!
