Hummer to the rescue

Mountain walkers in England and Wales now have the protection of Hummer as the 4x4 maker has gifted an H3 to the rescue charity.

The H3 has a special grille and roof-mounted spotlights to help when it's off the beaten track.

There's also extra body protection along the sills to protect the bodywork while driving over rocky terrain.

Andy Simpson of Mountain rescue says: "We rely on charitable donations and the Hummer H3 will be a fantastic asset to some of our busiest Mountain Rescue teams in 2008."
