- Concept car resembles future Méganes and Clios - Powered by a 148bhp electric motor with 100-mile range - 0-62mph in five seconds
Renault has revealed a ravishing new concept car - the DeZir. It was designed by Dutchman Laurens van den Acker, who previously worked for Mazda and penned the equally beautiful Nagare concept.
What's all the fuss about?
The French company claims that the DeZir hints at the styling of future Clios and Méganes, which is great news.
It's a strict two-seater and rides on 21-inch alloy wheels, while the interior is supposedly inspired by an 'amorous encounter' and features white leather, shiny red finishes and glowing red lights.
Any new technology?
The DeZir is powered by a 148bhp electric motor and has 167lb.ft of torque from zero revs, which also means zero tailpipe emissions.
Because the bodywork is made mostly from Kevlar, it's extremely light at 830kg, so the DeZir can reach 62mph in only five seconds. Expect a 100-mile range from the battery, too.
Estimated release date: It's unlikely
Estimated cost: Don't expect to see it in showrooms
